WASHINGTON (September 10, 2024) – Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump debated tonight in Philadelphia.

“Tonight’s debate showcased the contrast between a leader of vision who helped deliver the strongest climate action ever and a failed extremist who would slam those gains into hard reverse. Vice President Harris landed a knock-out punch, making clear she’s ready to lead on climate and clean energy from day one as president.
“Harris stood up for our future. Trump bowed low to billionaire oil and gas donors, pressing his campaign of energy lies to salt the field for his Project 2025 roadmap to environmental ruin.
“The choice for voters could not be more clear. Harris showed tonight she’s the climate leader we need to build on the climate progress we’re making and raise climate ambition even higher going forward.”
